What is Ayers Sensory Integration:

Sensory integrative theory is an evidence- based ideology of how we receive, interpret and make use of information from our environment and our bodies that is perceived by our senses. This information includes touch, gravity, body position and movement, sight, smell, taste and hearing. Once this information is organized and interpreted, we form a plan of action that allows us to appropriately respond to the demands of the environment.

Treatment is provided in a specialized environment where sensory experiences and activities allow for guided and growing challenges to produce adaptive responses.
